Kennel Cough: The Beach Dog Protocol
Rest assured, The Beach Dog Daycare is hyper‑vigilant about maintaining updated vaccines to protect every dog in our care. We always encourage you to consult your veterinarian for the best guidance for your furry family member. If your dog receives the kennel cough booster by injection, they may return to daycare immediately. Dogs who receive the intranasal vaccine must wait 10 days before returning.

Beyond required vaccines and boosters, The Beach Dog maintains strict daily sanitation practices. We proudly use High KennelSol, a professional‑grade disinfectant trusted by breeders, kennels, and veterinary facilities across the United States. This multi‑purpose disinfectant provides broad protection against staph, salmonella, E. coli, bordetella bronchiseptica, adenovirus, canine distemper, feline picornavirus, HIV‑1, infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, rabies, herpes, pseudorabies, respiratory syncytia, streptococcus—even canine parvovirus.

Our staff is also trained to recognize early symptoms and understand canine behavior. If a dog shows any red‑flag signs, they are immediately quarantined and the owner is contacted. Should a Beach Dog be diagnosed with kennel cough, veterinary clearance is required before returning to daycare.

The safety of our facility—and every dog within it—is always our top priority.
